I think of my grandparents who long have since passed away each Christmas. They ingrained in me the festivities, so I am cooking a dish to help the missus.
There are special dishes we only serve during Christmas, one of the reasons why I looked forward to it, when they are served then you know it is Christmas.
I am cooking my grandma's style arroz valenciana (similar to paella) - for our noche buena. We celebrate Christmas Eve - midnight.
