Do you know anyone at Australian Church Resources (ACR)? I'm interested in getting this book, "The Erlangen Faculty and Its Influence on Modern Confessional Lutheranism: German Lutheran Theologians (1830-1870)". I'd like to know what this book "is like first" before actually buying it. Spoke to someone at ACR just now (over the phone). I look forward to hearing from ACR soon.
Could you please ask some of pastors if they have read the book before ... and if so, what they think of the book? Most probably I'll get the book anyway ... but i still would just want to have some synopsis of the book.
So far, I have not heard from ACR. You know, last time, someone from ACR whom if I remember correctly you introduced me to by way of his email was supposed to send me a catalogue but i never received it. i'm just concerned that my inquiry will not be attended to. i mean if i buy online will they send me the book too? I'll give them a call again.
I spoke to Judy (you can also call Mike) her number is +61 1300557030.
I told her you will be calling. Also the Erlangen book is newly published and yet to hit Aus late Jan 2009. They do not have a price for it yet. So you can put your name on the list once it lands Jan 09. BTW for interest, it is published by CPH, so Pr McCain can I am sure give info - try Wittenberg email him there for info,
This Mike fella emailed just now. Looks like he only emailed me after you spoke to Judy. I hope he doesn't have that attitude that non-Australian customers are not important, for lack of a better word. I hope he'll email me back as he said he would, after he has checked the price from CPH.
ACR is just newly established, it had a few starts and stops from what I gather. A pity, we (LCAus) used to have the Open Book Room (Christian books), it closed down a couple of years ago.
Can you let me know, I will chase him up if you do not get an email by late next week.

I do not know anyone but I know that this is now LCAus book shop.
Let me know if you do not get some results and I will try to get some action, our pastor knows some people I am sure who will help.
God bless your studies,
Kuya Lito
OK.

Thanks again, Kuya.

For starters I have emailed Pr. Mark, who I hope wonders off in here and gives a comment to you.
I will also send you the email he sent me about Sasse a few months ago, apparently Sasse had Erlangen roots.

And here are my thoughts on the matter... :-)
Lucian,
Very profound, and for the world's sake, I hope we are wrong :-)
