I just came back form reading Steven Hein's comments on JFBA and perversion to EO as posted on Weedon'a blog and Chris Jones is real moron and intellectual asshole. Can you imagine someone saying that the EO believes in JFBA? Of course they don't. If they do, we won't be Lutherans but EO! JFBA is FORENSIC. EO's undersanding of 'justification' is NOT forensic, or at least not prominent at all. How different that is??? JFBA is EXTRA NOS. EO's understanding 'justification' is INTRA NOS. In fact, 'justification' for the EO is not really JUSTIFICATION but divinisation (theosis). JFBA does not make us gods, but properly, genuinely and truly human. The INCARNATION properly understood is not a recapitulation of the human race in a upward ascent but recapitulation of the human race in a downward descent thus reversing the effects of the Fall, which was an upward Fall!!! The fall was due to Adam and Eve's succumbing to the temptation to be gods!

Frankly, I have heard enough of bullshitting from professing Lutherans. They should just leave the LCMS than going on ostentatiously showing off their eccentricity to well-meaning folks!

We are gods not ontologically, but eschatologically. That is the difference between EO and Lutheran. The energies of the Trinity (to borrow from the EO) does not make us progressively divine, but precisely to retrogressively destroy the old man. We already FULLY, WHOLLY and COMPLETELY 'divine' in the sight of God!!! Why? Because we are in Christ, that' why!

Ask any EO worth his salt, and he'll laught in your face! So how can supposedly well read Americans talk as if EO and Lutheran agree on JFBA??? How can it be? Isn't this assine to say the least? Or, or is American EO somewhat kinda different in a certain sense than *EO*??? These people are just making a fool of themselves!

Dear me, people are REALLY ignorant of what Lutheranism teaches aren't they?

I wonder why did the Tubingen theologians fail in their intended "rapprochement" with Patriarch Jeremias II??? (rhetorical question, obviously) ...

This is the same thing when I encounter Evangelicalised EOs/RCs, say to me "oh, you do not know EO/RC, they really believe in JBFA".

Do you remember the behaviour of Israelites in Kings 1 and Kings 2. They were into mix religion. They both worshipped Yahweh and Baal.

You know, you gotta get your bases covered (LOL), just in case.

My Classic/NT Greek professor wrote 7-10 volumes of "Early Documents Illustrating Christianity". There he showed that some early Christians in the ancient world, both worshipped Jesus and at the same time pay homage to some local gods, like Neptune, specially if they were fishermen.

Kinda like what Paul encountered with the Corinthians no? Only of a little variety.

That is why I am scratching my head, I sometimes wonder what version of BoC these guys are reading?

I don't believe them.

I was just walking home when I mused at that title, and I knew you would spot it.

Cricket bro is a game wherein you have to have a PhD in nuclear physics to understand it. Only an Englishman could have invented it. A gentleman's game indeed.

My american colonial mental bias was the only thing that prevented me from enjoying it.

You bowl and spin vs throw.

Yes indeed bro, I would rather watch the sun set, at least you can see it moving and get a feeling of progress!

Why the heck does it take a week for a test to finish?
