What a pastor says about our bush fires.

“In my dream I saw fire everywhere with flames burning very high and uncontrollably. With this I woke up from my dream with the interpretation as the following words came to me in a flash from the Spirit of God.

That His conditional protection has been removed from the nation of Australia, in particular Victoria, for approving the slaughter of innocent children in the womb."

Read it here...Catch the Fire Ministries.

So did God chose to punish these people (by burning them) because some other people in our state (like our state government) approve abortion?

Genesis 18:25
That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

God certainly does judge us and does let everything happen.

There were those that said Hurricane Katrina that devastated New Orleans was God's punishment for a large vocal homosexual community in that city.

Well, how about San Francisco, or L.A....or London?

Who knows...anything is possible, but I believe that all of our sin brings wrath (of some kind).

Good point, why should the righteous die also, Are there any righteous? Do faithful Christians avoid these judgements?

SM,

This is where the Pietists look very poorly to me and do not make any sense. The places where the fire broke are not known for their abortion or debauchery; goodness, these were farmers, just country folk who wanted a simple life, in fact they seem to retreat from the complexities found in the cities.

I am certain some of these farming families could come back and say to God - why blame me, I did not vote for the abortion bill.

It is a terrible tragedy. I will certainly pray for all the victims and their families and all those fighting these horrible fires.

Yeah: that's my kind of God - vindictive and nasty.
