I often joke around and sinfully brag to my kids that Club L has at least two famous contributions to the world. What would they be you might ask? Bach and Pachelbel!
Over at Aardvark Alley I heard about his being down on Canon in D where he feature this Korean boy's version of it. Listen to it and tell me if Pachelbel was not a genius. Of course I also hope you see the genius of Jeong-Hyun Lim.
Enjoy

I would have to say Pachelbel's Cannon in D is the most butchered piece of music in history. Though this rendition is one of the better.
I would have to say that Pachelbel was a genius in that he created a piece of music which can be taken by many people, played and transposed to any instrument.
God bless the study of his word and your application of it,

Matt,
Good insights. Pachelbel made music that can be configured to taste, that is where his art comes in. Canon in D is vibrant and emotionally uplifting, just pure music.

Lito,
A LCMS Pastor once told me that guitarists use distortion because they are bad musicians.

Jim,
You have a funny way of looking at things but there might be some truth to it, hahahaha!
Lito
Lito,
I wasn't joking about the LCMS pastor that told me that but I use lots of distortion when I play guitar and I like punk rock. When he told me that I set out to make distortion an artform.
In Christ,
Jim
